As a representative of both GRI Technology Solutions and her nonprofit DVRSTY-STEM Accelerators (DSA), Charlotta Carter led a Grow Diversity In Technology! event at the YouTube San Bruno Campus. Attended by over three dozen young professionals, the April 2015 Grow Diversity In Technology! event focused on the challenges and solutions needed to improve the growth of diversity talent in the Silicon Valley. While providing inspiration, the proactive evening also galvanized the young professionals into taking actions and moving forward in a positive way.
Grow Diversity In Technology!
The Grow Diversity In Technology! event featured an extended networking session where the young professionals were given the opportunity to meet successful minority business owners based in Silicon Valley. Beyond having a chance to connect and exchange information, the event also included a lively panel discussion with representation in all of the STEM environments. STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. By focusing on these areas together, the skills and knowledge in each discipline essential for business success are highlighted.
As part of an ongoing series hosted by both GRI Technology Solutions and the nonprofit DVRSTY-STEM Accelerators (DSA), the Grow Diversity In Technology! event demonstrated Charlotta Carter’s ongoing commitment to fostering success while enhancing diversity. As the founder of the first African-American company chosen in the Silicon Valley to participate and complete the Warren Buffett-Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program, Charlotta Carter understands the importance of opening doors and fostering opportunities to achieve ongoing business success.
